Kensington Car Show Scheduled for April 3, 2016

Kensington, Maryland: The Kensington Car Show is scheduled for Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 3794 Howard Avenue in Kensington, Maryland from 10am-4pm.  Dozens of automobiles and motorcycles will be on display, alongside delicious food vendors, live music, a monster truck exhibition and children’s activities.   Several classes will be accepted, from classic cars of yesterday to custom and sport cars of today.  The public is invited to attend.  A rain date is scheduled on April 10th in the same location if the weather is inclement.

Automobile enthusiasts can register their cars online until April 1st or onsite at the show.  A minimum donation of $20 per car is required for registration with proceeds going toward the Yellow Ribbon Fund.  Trophies and awards will be given for Best-in-Show and the Top 25 Cars and Motorcycles.

The Yellow Ribbon Fund, the Kensington Car Show’s 2016 designated charity has been called one of the best small charities in the National Capital Region.  They provide support to injured service members and their families, while they’re at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, and after they return to their hometowns.

“A love of cars, family friendly fun and a chance to raise money to support America’s heroes through the Yellow Ribbon Fund motivated us to host our third annual event.  We hope that Maryland, Virginia and DC car enthusiasts will come out to enjoy the spring weather and family fun.” said Shawn Elliott, Kensington Car Show organizer.

The car show is presented by Lake Liberty, Kensington Service Center and Bruno’s Classic Muscle.  Those businesses are owned by Maryland entrepreneur, Mario Bruno. The Kensington Car show was inspired to share his love of cars with his community.

“I’ve been a “car-guy” since I was 12 years old and an automotive business owner in the area for 20 years.  Presenting the Kensington Car Show is a natural fit.  It allows me the opportunity to say thank you to the community for supporting my dreams and I get to enjoy looking at some remarkable cars and bikes.” said Mario Bruno.

Several area businesses are supporting the event as sponsors: ADC Autobody, Beltway Movers, Blackwood of DC, Building Hope, Blue Dog Boarding & Daycare, CapMac The Capital of Macaroni, Carmen’s Italian Ice & Café, Donut King café & deli, Edward Jones Investments, Ewing Oil, Frankly Pizza, Gala Artisan Jewelry & Gifts, GoFish, Digital Health Strategies, KHS, Kensington Park, Kensington Row Book Shop, Lafayette Credit Union, LMS Local Machine Service, Metropolitan Shuttle, PlanIt World Public Relations, Parts Authority - Auto Parts Super Store, Radial Tire Company, R&B Steel Fabrications, RW Restaurant, The Cantalupo Law Group and the Town of Kensington.
